Painting landscapes, gardens, and the beautiful abundance all around has become a passion for me. Through this blog I would like to share with friends and acquaintances who are interested in art.
This painting is from a photograph of a cabin in the Cascade Mountains near Cle Elum, Washington. I used a red underpainting to warm up the cools of the greens and blues, and lots of juicy oil paint.
I like your "new" technique! It doesn't look contrived at all, yet it does the job of warming up the cool palette.
