Hart's Pass in July: Sold
If you love to hike, Hart's Pass in Washington's Cascade Mountains is a wonderful place. This trail is part of the Pacific Crest which goes from Canada to Mexico. July is perfect for wildflowers -- lupine, indian henry's, thistle, and many others. The painting was done from a photo in my home studio.

Dream Tide: Sold
This impasto painting of the Pacific near La Jolla, California, was done with a palette knife and lots of thick oil paint. I used an undercoat of red/orange that comes through in places. The mixture of colors and textures creates activity and movement in the painting. Surf's up!

If you are a Fall person, you would love this spot in Maine near the capitol of Augusta. The painting is from a photo I took a few years ago on a very fun trip through New England. The dark trees in the background help pop the colors of the showboats upfront.

Oregon Dahlia Fields: Sold
My husband and I love to grow dahlias, and we especially like to visit Swan Island Dahlia Farm in Canby, OR. July through October the fields of flowers are an incredible sight. This painting has lots of thick paint to convey the richness of the scene. If you are a flower lover, I hope it speaks to you.
