I love doing bird portraits -- and who doesn't like a chickadee? I used thick paint for the bird, on a rusty background to pop him out.

Sunny Portrait: Sold

This is one of the giant sunflowers that grow next to our house. I painted this flower's portrait plein air last summer, and had much fun with lots of thick paint.
