These Satsuma oranges had the most beautiful stems and leaves, so I decided to find the right container in which to display them. Then, I couldn't quite bear to eat them, so what else -- a painting! We did eventually enjoy eating them, and of course, they were delicious.
Painting landscapes, gardens, and the beautiful abundance all around has become a passion for me. Through this blog I would like to share with friends and acquaintances who are interested in art.

Aloha: Sold
This historic old plantation house is preserved on the grounds of the Mauna Lani Hotel on the Big Island of Hawaii. There is a wonderful public beach nearby. I used lots of paint on this one, which was from a photograph taken by my husband, Max. Palm trees are especially fun to paint -- especially in the dead of winter.
